The Talented and Gifted (TAG) test is a test that is given to certain students by their teacher. It is given to the students who think in a different way, not necessarily smarter. The test is a booklet consisting of around 70 pages. It is not a conventional test and asks students to solve puzzles and identity patterns. The program is for students in fourth grade and up. There is a pre-tag program for third graders. Students are given around 40 minutes to complete the test. After the test, Jenniger Brancati, the TAG teacher, corrects what you have done. To take the test, students need to get permission from their parents. I personally don’t think you should need parental permission to take the TAG test because you’re not leaving the school, which means that there are no physical risks posed by taking the test. Another reason students shouldn’t have to get parental permission to take the TAG test is because there are some forgetful students so if they forget to get the permission slip signed they will lose the chance to take the test.
