Imagine getting an F on your homework, even when you put all of your effort into it or you don’t get a lot of work in class and you are mainly graded on your homework? You would probably feel really bad or discouraged, maybe even just not caring about your homework anymore or getting those F’s. Well, I might have a solution. If teachers graded for participation, and not accuracy, it could encourage students to participate on their own and therefore they can start getting their grades up. This can be a big thing for kids and maybe even for teachers because their students would be participating or turning in their work more.
