South Park has made a huge impact on how people, especially younger people who may not watch the news but want to be entertained, view politics currently. The newest two seasons have been primarily about politics and while some of it is just judging people for their looks, most of it is genuine criticism of the current Administration and what they are doing through satire. For example, Kristi Noem responded to South Park showing her face sliding off several times, saying “It’s so lazy to just constantly make fun of women and how they look.” While we may agree that looks aren’t the most important thing, we do think that much of the other stuff mentioned in the episode is genuine criticism about what she has done and how she has taken control of the Department of Homeland Security and what she is doing with ICE and how they are conducting deportations and detainments on innocent people. South Park has proven to be an entertaining and funny way to criticize and condemn the actions of the current administration BUT it is pretty inappropriate so, be warned.
