Opinion: Technology Has Problems. It’s Getting Old.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, it has been hard to talk to friends and family because the only way to communicate with them is through technology like FaceTime, phone calls, social media or video games.
Problems can always occur with this kind of communication, whether it’s the internet connection, hackers — even people not knowing much about technology.
Online school can be especially hard with parents on work calls or siblings who are also online. In this situation, the WiFi connection will most likely be far from stable. I have had countless experiences where I have not been able to log on to meet for school and get my work done.
In-person school has definitely helped many students get work done and stay focused since there is communication that is not over a screen. That means there is less trouble getting stuff done. Students getting to see other friends at school is also a perk.

On the other hand, although in-person school offers some solutions to problems, it is still sometimes hard to stay six feet away from your friends and keep a mask on at all times. Also, a lot of people still do not want to go to in-person school because of potential exposure to Covid-19.
Now, the Covid-19 vaccine has come out. Although lots of people are getting it, I still think it will be a long time until everyone gets it. Some people are also skeptical about its safety and whether the vaccine is worth getting. This is something we must talk about.
