Sebastian Ward, Yale Student Mentor
Sebastian Ward is a history major at Yale University and a dedicated writer and researcher with a passion for social justice, labor rights, and community engagement. This past summer, Sebastian authored articles on labor movements, corporate misconduct, and grassroots efforts at More Perfect Union. Sebastian’s experience includes roles at the Yale Office of Public Affairs and Communications, where he managed press releases and curated content highlighting faculty achievements, and the Gilder Lehrman Center, where he promoted events related to the study of slavery and abolition. As a staff columnist for the Yale Daily News and a writer for Inner City News and the Arts Council of Greater New Haven, Sebastian consistently produces engaging and insightful content. Additionally, he serves on the board of New Haven Reads, contributing to strategic planning and community outreach to support literacy among underserved youth in the Greater New Haven area.
