Why is rock music so much better than pop music? Although pop music may have been good a while ago, pop music today is very uncreative and boring. Pop musicians are more focused on earning money than making good music. Rock, on the other hand, is still amazing. Rock songs are much more creative.
This may be an unpopular opinion, but I think that artists like Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift are not as great as people think they are. Their lyrics are uncreative and repetitive. They don’t even write their own songs! They also use autotune. On the other hand, artists such as Måneskin, The Beatles, and Queen are very creative and interesting. The song Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen doesn’t even have a chorus! They all write or wrote their own songs. Rock musicians have much better voices than pop musicians. Justin Bieber’s voice is annoying and high-pitched. True: the Beatles, Freddie Mercury, and Damiano David have captivating and amazing voices.
Rock songs have motivational lyrics that have meaning (most of the time) while pop songs don’t have any important meanings and are just saying how amazing the singer is. Of course, not all pop musicians are horrible and not all rock musicians are great. For example, Prince’s music is pretty good and that is considered pop. I am just talking about newer pop musicians, not all pop musicians. There is also bad rock music, but I am just talking about the music that I enjoy. For these reasons (and many more) rock music is way better than pop music.
