Piglets are the cutest animal. They are better than other animals, and I love them. They weigh 2.5 pounds (1.1 kilograms) at birth, which is so tiny and cute! They grow fast, and usually double their weight in a week which is amazing to watch. Fully grown pigs can reach between 300 and 700 pounds (140 to 130 kilograms) and sometimes much more. Pigs have poor eyesight but a great sense of smell which makes them good at skills like truffle hunting. There are currently 18 living species of the pig family. Domesticated pigs live for around 15 to 20 years, which means pet pigs live longer than dogs.
Pigs usually give birth after three months of pregnancy, which is a short and easy pregnancy for livestock farmers. Mother pigs sing to their babies, which is sweet. Even little piglets can run 11 miles per hour. I can’t run that fast! Also, pigs have been found to be smarter than dogs. Really! Baby piglets are smarter than dogs and even 3–year–old children. Studies show they are the fifth most intelligent animal in the world! Wow! Despite common myths, pigs are actually very clean animals. Pigs are playful, friendly, sensitive and intelligent animals, making them the coolest and cutest animals ever. These facts make pigs the best animals.
